Chief Executive Officer & President: Carl J. Mudd Carl founded Dermacare Laser and Skin Care Clinics in June 2001. He developed the prototype clinic to perfect the marketing, operations systems, clinic equipment and treatments. After three years, the prototype clinic proved to be a highly successful business model that could be the building block leading to a franchised, medical laser and skincare company. That vision and hard work is now paying off; Dermacare is headed for dramatic growth over the next several years. As President and Chief Executive Officer, Carl's previous business background provides a blend of experience that serves the company well in his role as CEO. Prior to starting Dermacare, Carl served as President and CEO of Step Ahead Technologies, Inc., a Phoenix, Arizona based distributor of CAD/CAM manufacturing software with various locations in Southern California. From 1990 to 1998, Carl was a regional franchisee of Realty Information Systems, Inc. and Help-U-Sell Real Estate, a national real estate brokerage firm that serviced the state of Arizona, as well as northwest Los Angeles, Orange County and Ventura County in California. Carl attended the University of California at Irvine and holds a degree in English from Orange Coast College. While building the Dermacare business, Carl has proven to be a relentless industry champion. Recognizing that the industry had extremely lax rules governing the skin care industry (specifically for the use of lasers), he has made great strides to put stricter regulations into place. Dermacare prides itself on its outstanding safety record, as evidenced by providing over 15,000 treatments with zero malpractice claims or litigation.
