Dermacare at Arrowhead would like to announce our newest partner Dr. Shannon Maltais. Dr. Maltais will serve as Co-Medical Director with Dr. Thomas Moffo. Dr. Maltais has been involved with Dermacare for the past three years, holding previous positions as clinic Medical Director for Dermacare of Chandler/Tempe, Mesa/Gilbert and, most recently, North Scottsdale. Dr. Maltais special areas of interest and expertise include Cosmetic Dermatology, injectable procedures and Laser Resurfacing. Her addition to the clinic's medical staff will help expand the current services of advanced BOTOX® Cosmetic, Dermal Filler injections and state of the art Laser Resurfacing procedures. Dermacare at Arrowhead has been the leading provider for non-invasive skin care services in the West Valley since our opening nearly 4 years ago. Our clinic does more BOTOX® Cosmetic and dermal filler injections than any single clinic in the West Valley. In addition to having the newest and most effective laser equipment, we were one of the first and only clinics in the West Valley to be designated by the state of Arizona as an accredited laser training facility. The clinical medical staff includes two board certified physicians and two nurses who are nationally-recognized, advanced laser and injectable trainers. Dr. Shannon Maltais Dr. Shannon Maltais is a graduate of Nothern Arizona University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology. She received her medical degree from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon. She then completed a General Practice Residency at The Southwest Naturopathic Medical Center in Tempe, Arizona. In addition, Dr. Maltais had additional training in minor surgery and dermatology and also served as a clinical instructor. Prior to becoming Medical Director at Dermacare of Arrowhead she had been acting Medical Director at 3 other Dermacare Valley Clinics. Dr. Maltais is a Founding Board Member for the Naturopathic Board of Aesthetic Medicine (NPBAM), a division of the Naturopathic Physicians Board of Medical Examiners. Dr. Maltais areas of clinical expertise include advanced BOTOX® Cosmetic, dermal fillers and ablative laser systems. She focuses on holistic approaches to anti-aging and skin care. |
